Description
Leadership 2.0 is comprised of two, five-day sessions. Session I, will be facilitated in the fall at Northwood University's Midland, Michigan campus in the Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Studies. The second session location is TBA.
This course consists of robust discussion and learning related to leading through the challenges and opportunities confronting the motor vehicle aftermarket. It is facilitated by Northwood faculty, senior aftermarket executives, and thought leadership professionals. The Leadership 2.0 experience includes a blend of academic research, industry expertise, market analysis, lively discussion, and evolving industry topics and trends. Between sessions, participants collaborate on a team project that will analyze aftermarket-specific challenges and leadership perspectives to solve them. Teams present their projects during Session II and team presentations are judged by their class peers.
Outcomes
Participants will gain the skills and connections to achieve more in their career and get better results for their organization. At the end of this course they will be able to discuss the current and emerging trends within the automotive and heavy-duty aftermarket. Participants will analyze leadership behaviors which achieve better results, will debate best practices associated with creating a vibrant organizational culture, will define values, beliefs, and behaviors, will identify methodologies surrounding dynamic team performance and communication skill, and prepare team projects.
Topics
Topics include team dynamics, interpersonal communication skills, emotional intelligence, difficult conversations, organizational culture, financial insights, industry specific case studies, how to get better results, and other challenges within the motor vehicle aftermarket.
