Description
Leadership 2.0 is comprised of two, five-day sessions. Session I, will be facilitated in the fall at Northwood University's Midland, Michigan campus in the Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Studies. The second session location is TBA.
This course consists of robust discussion and learning related to the challenges and opportunities confronting the automotive and heavy-duty aftermarket. It is facilitated by Northwood faculty, senior aftermarket executives, and thought leadership professionals. The Leadership 2.0 experience includes a blend of industry research and market analysis, lively discussion and debate on the challenges confronting the light vehicle and heavy-duty aftermarket, competitive strategies, interpersonal communication skills, contract negotiations, conflict resolution, organizational culture, and other challenging and evolving industry topics and trends. Between sessions, participants collaborate on a team project that will analyze aftermarket-specific leadership viewpoints. Teams present their projects during Session II and team presentations are judged by their class peers.
Outcomes
Participants at the end of this course will be able to discuss the current and emerging trends within the automotive and heavy-duty aftermarket. Participants will identify strategies on how to distinguish their organizations from the competition and dominate the marketplace. Participants will analyze leadership behaviors which achieve better results, will debate best practices associated with creating a vibrant organizational culture, will define values, beliefs, and behaviors, will identify methodologies surrounding dynamic team performance and communication skill, and prepare team projects.
